Day to day duties:
- Directing a finance team of under 10
- Analyse financial data to support business profitability and growth.
- Provide accurate management reports to aid key decision-making.
- Prepare month-end and year-end journals.
- Compile statutory and management accounts.
- Participate in the annual budgeting and planning process.
- Oversee capital expenditure.
- Generate financial statements, including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Review and improve accounting processes and practices for efficient financial operations.
- Manage cash flow and produce forecasts.
- Review company assets and liabilities.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
- Assess monthly expenses.
- Calculate, present, and pay VAT.
- Conduct commercial analysis, such as margins and pricing.
- Prepare and submit P11D forms to HMRC.
- Liaise with auditors during the statutory accounts audit.
Requirements:
- Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA would be ideal
- Able to effectively communicate with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Dynamic, committed, and experienced
- Strong understanding of financial systems
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
