As Procurement Lead you will be at the go to person for all aspects of procured items.
As Procurement Lead you will assist in the development of new business opportunities and expansion of existing business opportunities.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include
- Ensuring suitable standards, processes and controls are followed across all phases of the procurement process.
- Working across multiple projects for multiple customers
- Assisting in the preparation of proposals, proposal work statements and specifications and operating budgets
- Influencing and carrying out PO negotiations and modifications
- Leading both mechanical and electronic component/assembly procurement and delivery
Experience required
- BSc or equivalent in engineering or other relevant
- Previous commercial experience in procurement/buying preferably in the satellite and defense industry
- Proven ability to carry out all of the required tasks from RFI through to component delivery
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Previous experience working across multiple projects and technology bases whilst working with suppliers globally
- Previous experience working with ESA/ECSS, NASA and MIL-STD processes and projects would be beneficial
- Understanding of export and shipping regulations
- Awareness of ISO 9001, AS9100, etc. quality systems
