An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Optical Engineer/Physicist to join a well-established technology development company – specifically within their newly created Eyecare team – developing ground-breaking new optometry equipment.
The Senior Optical Engineer/Physicist will utilise their skills and experience to design, model, and develop new optical systems. Your designs and concepts will feed directly into new product development whilst working and collaborating with highly talented multi-disciplined engineers and scientists.
You will be taking new projects from concept through to prototyping and then production for world renowned brands and clients. Thus, you will get to stretch not only your technical skills, but could even develop commercial skills speaking with clients about their requirements and potential solutions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to not only grow and develop their skills and experience, but also putting their stamp on new cutting-edge market disruptive devices!
The Senior Optical Engineer/Physicist will need the following:
- Academic excellence. A 1st or upper 2nd class degree or equivalent in a physical science or engineering.
- A PhD or equivalent industrial, academic or commercial R&D experience.
- Experience in modelling physical systems using either commercial or custom software.
- Experience in optical system design and applying experimental skills.
