We are representing a growing organisation located in Longbenton, Newcastle, seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to join the team on a part-time basis. The company has a people-first approach, and a close-knit team.
This role is ideally suited for an experienced bookkeeper or management accountant who is looking to balance work with other commitments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing budgets, and providing insights to support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts
- Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Assist with payroll processing and related financial activities
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making
- Liaise with external auditors and manage annual audits
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or management accountant
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant accounting qualifications (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) are preferred but not essential
