QHSE Manager - Leading Engineering company based in Coventry - Salary £45,000 plus excellent company benefits!

Job Responsibilities:

Review company QHSE procedures and guidelines and ensure that they are being followed Ensure improvement of QHSE practices through staff, partner companies and suppliers;

Develop, update and monitor QHSE procedures, policies and practices;Train staff and supervisors on accident and injury prevention, product and process safety, and good work practices;

Assess and prevent health and safety hazards and implement appropriate corrective actions;

Conduct internal and external audits on QHSE compliance and good practices;

Ensure that actions taken to improve QHSE compliance are followed;

Provide regular reports and updates to the company's management committee on the implementation and monitoring of QHSE procedures;

Actively participate in the continuous improvement of QHSE practices;

Enforce and apply current QHSE regulations, laws and standards.

Key Requirements

Must be aware of the evolving industry QHSE regulations and best practices and how they could be applied to the Company's operations.

Experience in managing and implementing Quality Management Systems.

Must maintain confidentiality and trustworthiness and be able to generate a robust safety culture.

Exposure at a location associated with horticulture and commercial hydroponic greenhouse operations is an asset.

Qualifications

BSc. (Hons) Occupational Safety, Health & Environment

NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Level 6

Broad knowledge of HSSE regulations (TT laws, OSHA, NFPA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001)

Certification and experience in auditing, risk management, and emergency response.

Skills and Abilities

Strong leadership skills to constantly drive safety and quality improvements.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Team-oriented with a positive outlook.

Strong Interpersonal skills - Able to communicate clearly with all staff levels and company Directors and explain technical concepts in simple terms.

Accountability - Takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities.

Time Management & Organization Skills - Able to prioritize and delegate tasks.
