Communications Coordinator - £25,000 -£29,000

A wonderful opportunity for an experienced content creator to join this inspirational charity as their Communications Coordinator. This organisation provides programmes for underrepresented beneficiaries, supporting young people, enriching society and helping communities. Joining an established communications team, this opportunity has come about because of an internal promotion and a mix of remote and office-based working is offered (3 days needing to be in the offices based near Lewisham)

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong content creating skills with experience ideally coming from the third sector. Digital marketing experience and current digital and social media trends knowledge is useful, in particular video editing skills. This is an extremely varied communications role with the opportunity to work across all thing's social media, events, community engagement, and to attract fundraisers and new partners. From email marketing, to helping to develop the digital platform as well as supporting in person events for careers fairs and the London Marathon; as well as supporting their school driven workshops. A wonderful opportunity for a creative storyteller and a self-starter who responds well to responsibility, who can communicate concisely and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.

Reporting into the newly promoted Senior Digital Marketing and Campaigns Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Creating and producing content across multiple channels including social media (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Facebook), email marketing, and the digital platform
  • Designing and managing email marketing campaigns to ensure supporters are informed about events, updates, and fundraising opportunities
  • Developing content for the digital platform to effectively communicate the company's mission and engage users with relevant updates and resources
  • Developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and promote programmes and the digital platform
  • Staying up to date with social media trends and incorporating them into content strategies to keep messaging fresh and relevant
  • Creating and analysing monthly social media performance reports to measure effectiveness, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for future content
  • Supporting the planning and execution of community engagement initiatives, programmatic events and fundraising campaigns. Some of this work may require weekend and/or after-hours attendance, for which you will be able to take back as TOIL
  • Creating monthly social media reports to help the charity continue to make informed decisions in keeping with strategic themes
  • Supporting with the development of the brand and collaborate with wider teams to advise on editorial direction
