Reed Business Support is working with a local government collaboration. They are seeking a Project Manager to manage and lead the delivery of the Connect to Work programme across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough. This role involves ensuring that programme delivery aligns with the agreed profiles, timescales, and budgets, and integrates new Mayoral powers related to Work, Health, and Skills.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide effective leadership to the Connect to Work Programme.
- Develop and implement operational frameworks, including Performance Management and Risk Management frameworks.
- Maintain an overview of individual project progress, issues, and risks.
- Work closely with key stakeholders and public sector partners to ensure the vision for the delivery of programmes is achieved.
- Develop robust business cases/funding bids and manage resources within agreed procedures and budgets.
- Provide timely and effective communication to all key stakeholders and partners, developing communication plans to support projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience working at a commensurate level.
- At least 5 years' experience in developing, managing, and delivering Corporate and/or Strategic projects and programmes.
- Experience in implementing and embedding risk management frameworks, registers, and systems.
- Knowledge of Local/Central Government/NHS; Combined Authorities and devolution deals.
- Programme management skills with the ability to design and develop programmes for optimal delivery.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills, able to form effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
