Head of Mergers and Aquisitions

A fast growing education business in Manchester are looking for a Head of Mergers and Acquisitions to support their CFO to access targets ensuring high quality, profitable businesses are acquired in line with company growth strategy. The role is also key in ensuring they understand the businesses that are acquired to ensure they deliver expected EBITDA.

You will be accessing target businesses historical financial information, identifying risks, forecasting financial performance based on understanding of key business drivers. You will provide reports to the board for approval to progress acquisition and monthly reports on target through integration into the business.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Responsible for the financial analysis of potential targets
  • Support the due diligence process
  • Develop data book for handover to integration team
  • Deal with all correspondence
  • Devise and maintain office systems inc data management
  • Produce documents, reports and presentations with regards to business cases for each investment to present to the Board.
  • Assist in communication of projects to wider organisation
  • Business Partner to Operational integration team. reporting financial and other KPIs through integration period

Experience Required:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships with people at different levels
  • Experience of working within business development (including acquisitions) and project delivery within education sector
  • Previous experience of supporting senior management
  • Experience of financial modelling and development
  • Experience of due diligence process
  • Excellent Time management and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Excellent systems experience inc Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

This role will be paying £85,000 + £6k company car, the role will be hybrid working in modern offices with free on site parking.
