Senior Assistant - Card Centre

About the role

Personal Banking department oversees debit and credit card operations, and provides back office support to the Bank's branches. The merchant acquiring business operations combined with comprehensive support services for third parties and merchant. As a Senior Assistant - Card Centre, you will be responsible for assisting with the development of the merchant services. You will support with the optimisation of systems and with liaising with services providers and merchants. This is a full time permanent position.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out CDD reviews, recruit new merchants and set up new accounts
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, upgrade systems and resolve issues of system failure, communication failure and issues with lines
  • Preparing regular reports and documentations for the Acquiring Team
  • Provide excellent customer service to the Bank's clients
  • Liaise with merchants and respond to their enquiries; request to ensure timely and accurate response/problem resolutions, including setting up merchant terminals, resolving issues related to the merchant terminals, and completing investigations related to payments, processed transactions, batch inquiries, checks, missing statements, reversals and refunds
  • Plan and implement marketing activities and events
  • Provide relevant training for clients
  • Liaise with merchants to ensure services standards are met at all times
  • Preparing and reviewing policy and procedures
  • Comply with the Bank's procedures and processes at all times
  • Conduct market research and analysis regularly to monitor market trends

Requirements

  • Degree educated preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Marketing
  • Experience within the Financial Services industry would be advantageous
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Customer service experience
  • Team player
  • Attention to details
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in Mandarin is preferred
