Job Title: Soft Hub Room Leader

Job Purpose: Teach in the EYFS/KS1 Soft Hub

I am currently working with a Primary School based in (location) who are currently in need of a Soft Hub Room Leader. You will be working with Primary - aged children with complex needs. You will work with the SENDCo to meet the needs of the children. The school are looking to hire a confident individual who take on responsibility for the teaching and pastoral support of up to ten EYFS and KS1 children. You will work with two other member of staff, who's aim is to provide the highest care and support for the children.

Key Responsibilities of a Soft Hub Room Leader:

  • Plan and prepare resources for individual and/or small group activities. You will have a big focus on multi - sensory approach.
  • To ensure all the children's needs are being met.
  • Develop and create teaching strategies and approaches to meet the needs of the children.
  • Evaluate and report back to the SENCO about the progress, achievement and attainment of the children.
  • Working with children in mainstream classes to slowly integrate them back in slowly.
  • Liaise with SENCo and mainstream teachers to support pupils transition to mainstream classes.

Qualification needed for Soft Hub Room Leader:

  • Must have SEND qualification, desirable if you have a qualified teaching status.
  • Minimum of 2 year's experience of working with children with SEND or complex needs, ideally in a primary setting.
  • Knowledge of the primary school curriculum. Able to adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of the children.
  • Experience in planning and leading interventions plans.
  • Ideally you will have working knowledge of EHC plans and SEND Code of Practice.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
