Are you passionate about shaping the future of young minds through Design and Technology education? Accelerate Teaching is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced DT Teacher at a well-established secondary school, commencing in September 2024.

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative professional who can inspire students and foster a love for Design and Technology. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record of delivering engaging and effective lessons, as well as the ability to motivate students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, adhering to the national curriculum
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that engage students and promote critical thinking and creativity
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are used safely and responsibly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and contribute to the school's continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities to broaden your teaching practice

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Design and Technology or a related subject
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • Demonstrable experience teaching DT at the secondary school level
  • Strong knowledge of the DT curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
