Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, adhering to the national curriculum
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that engage students and promote critical thinking and creativity
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are used safely and responsibly
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and contribute to the school's continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities to broaden your teaching practice
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Design and Technology or a related subject
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- Demonstrable experience teaching DT at the secondary school level
- Strong knowledge of the DT curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
