Job
The role of Capital Accounting Manager will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:
- Assisting in the creation and administration of the Strategic Capital Plan
- Reporting on the financial performance and forecasts of the capital programme
- Providing guidance on capital accounting standards, governance, and compliance
- Improving financial planning, risk management, and business process efficiency
- Ensuring the accuracy of the fixed asset register and equipment replacement schedules
- Managing and overseeing leases in accordance with IFRS 16 reporting standards
- Preparing statutory annual accounts and ad hoc financial reports
- Evaluating business cases for capital and lease expenditures
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures
You
As a Capital Accounting Manager you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:
- Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in capital accounting within the public sector
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 16
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Competency in financial software and Microsoft Office suite
