Master Data professional required on an interim / fixed term basis to help drive the master data project in preparation for a future ERP systems implementation.
My client is a Private Equity-owned business with ambitious growth plans that is currently undergoing an exciting business transformation project. As part of this transformation, they are preparing for a future ERP systems implementation and are seeking an experienced Master Data Manager to join their Head Office Finance function.
You will play a crucial role in assessing the current master data landscape, identifying necessary process changes and preparing the organisation for the upcoming ERP implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct an initial assessment and report to define and determine what constitutes Master Data
- Perform a GAP Analysis of current versus agreed service Master Data
- Cleanse of specific Master Data Objects by SKU (stock-keeping unit), Customer, Supplier and Asset as identified for ERP systems implementation
- Define ongoing Governance and review/housekeeping frequency, implementing necessary process changes
- Regular liaison with key stakeholders
- Conduct educational sessions for key users and prepare training documentation
- Supervise, review and build a proposal for the future team structure.
Skills and Experience for success:
- Proven experience as a Master Data Manager / Controller or in a similar role
- Demonstrated expertise in change management
- Successful stakeholder management skills
- Track record of process improvement in data management
- Commitment to the highest levels of governance and controls
- Detail-oriented and highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP systems implementation
- Any prior experience in a FMCG, manufacturing or supply chain environment is beneficial.
This role is initially offered on a 6 month fixed term contract with the likelihood of being extended into 2025.
