**Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist
**6 months NHS experience mandatory
Location: Homerton Site Barts NHS Trust
Type: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 8am and 8pm (7.5 hours with 1-hour lunch break)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Pay Rates: £21 - £23 per hour
Pay Mechanism: Direct Engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee laboratory tests in Haematology and Transfusion.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to laboratory protocols.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior staff.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to interpret results and provide expert advice.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Biomedical Scientist (BMS) in Haematology and Transfusion is essential.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Biomedical Science.
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
