An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport/Logistics/ operations planner to join a thinking-growing supplies company based at Manchester at Trafford Park. You'll be a team player, a self-starter, and a good all-rounder! You will be part of growing and expanding a successful business. The role will be to Look after the overall operational activity of the business, which will include the following:
- To monitor incoming emails/works orders, identify and action these
- To process new jobs/works orders liaising with engineers/drivers
- Route scheduling drivers/engineers
- Booking installs/repairs
- Keep all customers informed of all failed services or significant delays
- Provide the communication link between customers and drivers
- Monitoring customer requests, allocating jobs and issuing instructions
- Allocating jobs to driver's tablets
- Tracking delivery routes
- Allocating jobs to driver's tablets
- Tracker monitoring with Ops Managers
- Keeping up to date with transport issues and dealing with changes to the day's schedules
Requirements:
- Transport route planning skills
- Excellent geographical knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Strong administration experience
- Good communication and people skills.
- IT literacy in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook or other email platforms.
