Description
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer for an Industrial Machinery and Equipment Manufacturer to join their team, based in Haslingden.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience working in an industrial machinery and equipment manufacturer.
- Experience dealing with and auditing.
- Experience with EQMS Systems/Software's.
- Investigate operational problems affecting the production line and deal with them in a systematic, methodical manner with managers, engineers and operators.
- Flawless execution of all supplier related projects including transfers, specification changes and improvement plans.
- Identify and manage any necessary improvement plans with the focus on driving a reduction in PPM performance.
- Develop and maintain an internal audit process to ensure process conformity and effectiveness as per standard requirements.
- Undertake testing when conducting thorough investigations, including compilation of technical reports.
- Compile the necessary documentation to ensure approval to supply products to customers.
- Implement a robust corrective action process and ensure that timely and effective action is taken on all issues.
- Develop the process to record Cost of Poor Quality generated at the business, with the ability to quickly determine causes of waste generation.
- Ensure that suppliers are fully engaged in the New Product Development process; ensure full capability and understanding during the knowledge transfer process, supplemented by audits as required.
- Maintenance and administration of systems used to document issues and drive business improvement, such as registers and QMS.
The Candidate
- Engineering background.
- Experience working within manufacturing.
- Auditing - ISO9001
- Knowledge of problem solving and continuous improvement techniques.
- Experience working with Quality Tools
- Strong Communication
Salary
£35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
