Our client is recognised by the legal 500 and is ranked in the 2023 UK Edition for Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence. They are looking to recruit a fee earner to deal with fast-track credit hire litigation claims.
This role is offered on a permanent basis, working 9-5, Monday to Friday in the Newcastle office, with hybrid working available.
This role would suit someone who has experience as a fee earner or team leader.
About the role:
- Check and review initial information.
- Identify and process files to be rejected.
- Update files and client database.
- Liaise with witnesses and expert witnesses.
- Negotiate with insurers, solicitors, courts and other agencies.
- Consider information/ updates in relation to legal procedures and assessment of quantum, including analysis of credit hire issues and reports.
About you:
- At least 1 years' litigation experience and credit hire experience.
- Good knowledge of legal concepts and good draughting skills.
- Solid understanding of core liability, causation, consent, and quantum issues.
- Knowledge of legal procedure including issue and service of proceedings, directions timetables, experience in obtaining factual and expert evidence and trial preparation.
- Experience of drafting simple schedules of loss.
- Ability to liaise with Counsel and experts appropriately and professionally.
