We are seeking an experienced Employability Tutor with a special focus on supporting individuals with dyslexia. This role involves travelling to 14 establishments across Essex to help people transition back into work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employability training and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those with dyslexia.
Day-to-day of the role of an Employability Tutor:
- Travel to various establishments within Essex to deliver employability training.
- Provide tailored support to individuals with dyslexia, helping them to overcome barriers to employment.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to the needs of learners with diverse learning requirements.
- Conduct one-to-one sessions and group workshops focused on job search skills, interview preparation, and workplace readiness.
- Monitor and record the progress of learners, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
- Collaborate with local employment services and organisations to facilitate successful job placements for learners.
Required Skills & Qualifications for this role:
- Proven experience as an Employability Tutor or similar role.
- Strong understanding of the challenges associated with dyslexia and experience in supporting individuals with this learning difficulty.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations within Essex.
- Flexibility to work 2/3 days per week, including the ability to start asap
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
