Are you an experienced teacher Employability? Do you have a driving licence and prepared to support adults in and around Essex?

  • Location: Essex
  • Job Type: Part-time (2/3 days per week)
  • Contract Duration: end if June until end of Jan
  • Salary: Competitive hourly rate

We are seeking an experienced Employability Tutor with a special focus on supporting individuals with dyslexia. This role involves travelling to 14 establishments across Essex to help people transition back into work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employability training and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those with dyslexia.

Day-to-day of the role of an Employability Tutor:

  • Travel to various establishments within Essex to deliver employability training.
  • Provide tailored support to individuals with dyslexia, helping them to overcome barriers to employment.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to the needs of learners with diverse learning requirements.
  • Conduct one-to-one sessions and group workshops focused on job search skills, interview preparation, and workplace readiness.
  • Monitor and record the progress of learners, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
  • Collaborate with local employment services and organisations to facilitate successful job placements for learners.

Required Skills & Qualifications for this role:

  • Proven experience as an Employability Tutor or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges associated with dyslexia and experience in supporting individuals with this learning difficulty.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations within Essex.
  • Flexibility to work 2/3 days per week, including the ability to start asap
  • A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
