Full job description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally from a Tier 1 or Main Contractor background based on site on a 30 million pound mixed use student accommodation block.
Contract 3 Months plus, Rate negotiable £350-£400 per day CIS/UMB/LTD Paye £280-£320 per day
Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:
- Full commercial administration of contracts.
- Working with Commercial Director and wider team..
- Monitoring & reviewing progress on site in line with commercials and programme.
- Agreeing monthly payment valuations.
- Agreeing instructions, change and processing variations.
- Take-offs and Re-measurement
- Attending client and project progress meetings.
- Agreeing Final Accounts.
Quantity Surveyor requirements:
- Degree or HNC/HND Quantity Surveying or construction related qualification.
- 5 - 10 year's experience working within the construction industry.
- Sector experience within modular and new build
- Experienced in self-delivery of projects from award to final accounts.
- Able to produce quotations from drawings, price variations, do Take-Offs and remeasure.
- Well organised, diligent, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Full UK driving license.
