An opportunity to be a Management Accountant for a service business based in Birmingham. It's a well-regarded business with a great reputation. This role will provide plenty of insights into a lucrative industry.
Main Duties:
As a Management Accountant_,_ your main duties include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments, journals, bank reconciliations, and P+L
- Performing quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting the Financial Controller in the finance meetings with the divisional heads.
- Preparing and submitting the VAT return, reviewing VAT journals, and reallocating VAT refunds
- Undergoing a monthly review process of ledgers with the Financial Controller
- Bookkeeping where necessary
- Assisting and overseeing the month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes, ensuring all necessary deadlines are met.
- Reviewing and uploading year-end adjustments.
Location / Office / Culture
The role is hybrid and based in Birmingham City Centre, and one day at home. The company operate from a modern office with a strong finance team. The business is very flexible in its working patterns and due to the current ongoing growth offers great chances for progression.
What We Are Looking For
