Salary: £45,000 to £50,000

An exciting position has arisen for a Project Manager to join one of the fastest technology service companies in the UK. The focus of these projects includes Wireless networks, network security, Data Services and telephony. As Project Manager you will possess sound knowledge of core Project Management methodologies and the ability to use those methodologies in all aspects of the role to ensure the timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain detailed project plans that include resource allocation and tasks
  • Ensure key project milestones are identified and reviewed
  • Act as a single point of contact for the project internally and externally
  • Work with an internal team of project resources and managing them to deadlines
  • Work with Sales, Project Engineers, and clients ensuring project scope is fully understood
  • Regular stakeholder meetings ensuring everyone is kept up to date
  • Management of the external supplier relationships for projects, developing key contacts and ensuring they are delivering to the deadlines

Essential Skills

  • A PRINCE2 qualification
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands and thrive working in a fast-paced environment,
  • Experience working with multi-dependent, complex stakeholder projects
  • Skilled across multiple aspects of information and communication technology
  • You're someone with knowledge of change and risk management
  • Experience managing IT projects is beneficial
  • Exceptional organisation skills, ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Confident working knowledge of MS Projects and Excel

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Be confident in using standard Project Management methodologies
  • Have a significant level of technical knowledge and expertise around the core technical value propositions
  • Be able to apply your technical understanding to support in the initial resolution of issues, being confident to identify the issues that need escalation
  • This combination of skills will enable you to optimise resource management, project planning and mitigate issues swiftly as they arise
