We are on the lookout for a proactive HR Advisor to serve as the go-to expert for all HR-related processes within our organisation. The successful candidate will collaborate with our dedicated team to deliver a reliable and informed HR service to our colleagues, including Line Managers and Senior Management. This role is ideal for someone with a robust HR background, adept in managing employee relations, enhancing performance management systems, and driving engagement initiatives.

Day to Day of the Role

  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on various HR matters such as disciplinary actions, performance management, and handling absences.
  • Act as a consultant to different departments, aiding managers in the application and understanding of HR policies and procedures.
  • Oversee employee relations cases, ensuring adherence to company policies and minimising risk.
  • Manage cases of absence, coordinating with external health professionals to facilitate employee reintegration into the workplace.
  • Establish and nurture effective working relationships with managers, employees, and stakeholders, championing equality and diversity.
  • Develop and execute strategies to boost employee engagement and assist managers with action plans derived from engagement surveys.
  • Support organisational changes, including design, acquisitions, and TUPE processes.
  • Keep HR systems up-to-date, respond to employee inquiries promptly, and generate HR KPIs and analytics to inform improvement strategies.
  • Represent HR and the company's core values and behaviours consistently.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Human Resources Department.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and adept at database management.
  • Solid understanding of employment law.
  • Experience with confidential and sensitive data is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned area with access to personal transportation.
  • Background in advisory roles, handling employee relations cases.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR best practices and processes including ER experience.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence effectively and manage work pressures.
  • Organised, articulate, and capable of working autonomously in a systematic and proactive manner.
  • Skilled in analysing, interpreting, and communicating employment law.
  • Keen attention to detail with a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
