We are working with a Global organisation based in Chelmsford looking for an experienced Inventory Accountant to join the team.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Maintaining financial integrity of inventory accounts
- Periodic processing of financial inventory transactions and account reconciliations
- Co-ordination and execution of standard cost accounting processes and updates
- Co-ordination, support and oversight of physical inventory counts
- Working with the business teams, providing advice and guidance on appropriate manufacturing and project management procedures to ensure inventory accounting requirements are met.
- Work closely with purchasing, planning and logistics teams in support of costing, forecasting and optimisation of inventory levels
Ideally you will be a qualified accountant or the equivalent with previous eperience in inventory accounting within manufacturing. Experience of an ERP system (SAP) would be preferred as well as strong excel.
