This position requires a meticulous and highly organised Finance Officer who is passionate about the Not For Profit sector. The role is based in Bradford and involves supporting the Accounting & Finance Department.

Client Details

Our client is a respected educational organisation with schools across Yorkshire. This role is based at one of their sites in Bradford.

Description

  • Maintain accurate financial records, asset registers, and filing systems to meet audit requirements.
  • Manage financial processes including orders, invoices, payments, and procurement, ensuring adherence to procedures and best value principles.
  • Handle daily financial operations such as petty cash management, sales invoicing, banking, and payroll processing.
  • Produce financial reports, including monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
  • Support budget holders and manage contracts to ensure value for money.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to provide administrative support and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Enhance the efficiency of academy facilities and communication, advising relevant bodies as needed.
  • Oversee site management, including health and safety, and manage relevant staff.
  • Ensure compliance with policies related to child protection, data protection, and safeguarding, maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Participate in training and adapt to the changing needs of the organisation, performing additional duties as required.

Profile

A successful Finance Officer should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • AAT Qualification (or studying towards)
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a busy finance team.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Offer
