Description
- Maintain accurate financial records, asset registers, and filing systems to meet audit requirements.
- Manage financial processes including orders, invoices, payments, and procurement, ensuring adherence to procedures and best value principles.
- Handle daily financial operations such as petty cash management, sales invoicing, banking, and payroll processing.
- Produce financial reports, including monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
- Support budget holders and manage contracts to ensure value for money.
- Collaborate with management and staff to provide administrative support and ensure best practices are followed.
- Enhance the efficiency of academy facilities and communication, advising relevant bodies as needed.
- Oversee site management, including health and safety, and manage relevant staff.
- Ensure compliance with policies related to child protection, data protection, and safeguarding, maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Participate in training and adapt to the changing needs of the organisation, performing additional duties as required.
Profile
A successful Finance Officer should have:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- AAT Qualification (or studying towards)
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working in a busy finance team.
- Proficiency in using financial software and systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Offer
