Job title: Academic Mentor HLTA

Salary: CSET 8 £30,296 FTE, £22,889 prorated

Hours: 32.50 per week, 39 weeks of the year (term time only + INSET)

Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31 August 2025

About the Role: Working in close collaboration with a local school Reed is excited to introduce a brand-new opportunity for an Academic Mentor HLTA within our educational community.

This role focuses on working with students outside the traditional classroom environment, aiming to close academic gaps, particularly in English and Maths. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in reintegrating students back into the mainstream classroom. Your responsibilities include planning, preparing, coordinating, and delivering 1:1 and small group sessions. You'll collaborate closely with teaching staff and other specialized interventions within the school.

About You:

  • You are a committed, enthusiastic, and caring individual.
  • Your ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, combined with your initiative and independent work skills, makes you an ideal fit.
  • Quick thinking and adaptability are essential, as you'll adjust techniques based on students' responses.
  • You have experience working with students needing extra support.
  • HLTA qualification or above is desired for this role.
