Role Overview:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in various projects, from initial design through to development, testing, and implementation. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that each project is managed safely and professionally at every stage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys to ascertain the availability and position of required services.
  • Establish equipment locations and determine suitable routes for interconnections.
  • Take site measurements and gather necessary information to produce detailed drawings.
  • Produce and update General Arrangement and Detail Drawings throughout all project stages, ensuring accurate revisions and records.
  • Issue As Built drawings upon project completion.
  • Specify component details and suppliers for purchase orders.
  • Participate in the build and installation of equipment.
  • Collate information to assist in producing installation manuals for clients.
  • Adhere to health and safety and quality management policies and procedures.
  • Pursue personal development to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

Requirements:

  • Minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). We support further educational training.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is desirable, but training can be provided.
  • Competency in using Microsoft Office packages.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to use your initiative.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
