I am looking for dedicated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant's (HLTA) to join my team and make a significant impact on the educational journey of young learners in primary schools across the Wakefield area. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to plan, deliver, and evaluate lessons, ensuring effective student engagement.
- Conduct targeted sessions to reinforce learning objectives for students requiring additional support.
- Assist in assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work with teachers to enhance the curriculum through creativity and innovation.
- Establish effective communication with parents and guardians to engage them in their children's education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 3 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally at a higher level, with a strong understanding of classroom dynamics.
- Comprehensive understanding of the national curriculum and educational best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Adaptable approach to meet the evolving needs of the school and its students.
