This Mental Health Assistant role is an ideal opportunity if you aspire to have a career focussed on Counselling, Mental Health, Wellbeing, Criminal, Social or Youth Justice, or looking at elements of social care for example.

This SEN school is looking is looking for SEN Psychology and Criminology Graduates to provide first class support to children with complex social, emotional and mental health needs, ADHD, and communication difficulties, Down syndrome and some speech, language and communication needs.

You will be working closely with the clinical team within the Luton school allowing you to develop your skills through the education and training.

Job Title: Mental Health Assistant

Location: Luton

Salary Scale: £85-£90 per day

Contract type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 16:30

This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with previous SEN experience OR a Graduate with a keen interest in this area of work within Luton.

What is required?

  • An Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Criminology and Psychology Graduates
  • An interest in mental health and Autism
  • Knowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH elements of the provision)
  • Local commute to Luton
