Reed Financial Services are seeking a Paraplanner to join an IFA's dynamic team at a leading financial advice network. This role is crucial for providing high-level paraplanning support to IFAs and assisting in the day-to-day operations of our business. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing other Paraplanners and Trainee Paraplanners, ensuring our service delivery is timely and accurate.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide comprehensive paraplanning support across various financial planning areas including pensions, investments, protection, inheritance tax, and cashflow planning.
  • Liaise with product and fund providers to understand technical matters and gather necessary data.
  • Deliver accurate research and recommendation reports and oversee the sign-off of other team members' work.
  • Regularly report to the Paraplanning Team Leader and Operations Manager, ensuring adherence to data protection principles and company policies.
  • Promote and ensure the delivery of Client Best Interest outcomes as per company policy.
  • Handle high-level and detailed initial assessments of cases to ensure all required technical information is present.
  • Prepare and issue personal illustrations, key features documents, application forms, and other relevant information.
  • Maintain a complete audit trail in the software system to justify product selection and ensure compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be Level 4 qualified as a minimum.
  • Significant previous experience within the financial services industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with industry-specific software like Intelligent Office CRM.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry research tools such as Selectapension, Synaptics, Assureweb, Morningstar, and FE Analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent time management skills.
  • Leadership and management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of financial services providers and products.
