An outstanding career opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a highly successful, fast growing logistics company who offer a full supply chain service and are market leaders. This is a strategic and hands on operational B2B sales and account management role. The services are something to be proud of, and the company reputation is strong. To begin with, this is a Business Development role where you will be required to go and win new business but there are also existing customers who need looking after.
The Business Development Manager role
Working in a small team, you will have responsibility for generating new clients and as a result hitting revenue targets for the company. You will be responsible for identifying potential opportunities to sell 3PL. Mainly targeting FMCG clients and winning new business as well as building relationships and negotiating terms. You will play an integral role in the bid and tender process, much of which can be complex and will need to be comfortable providing detailed sales forecasts and analysis
The ideal candidate
This company is looking for an exceptional candidate who can step into this new role. It is absolutely essential that you are driven and innovative in your approach, very personable and outgoing with experience in a similar role. You will need to demonstrate strong sales experience within 3PL and will have an understanding of the 3PL Tender process specifically within FMCG. It goes without saying you will be ambitious and energetic as this company has exciting growth plans. Outstanding attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential.
This role requires you to be in the Southampton office twice a week but you will be home / field based the rest of the time.
