Senior Accountant - Accountancy Practice Experience Essential
A new forward-thinking accountancy practice is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to support its growth plans. The firm offers innovative accounting solutions for SMEs and acts as an outsourced finance function for manager-owned businesses, helping them grow by using technology and key financial data.
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have a strong background in accountancy practice. You will take ownership of a client portfolio whilst also becoming involved in improving company processes, systems, and development. This is a key hire, someone who will contribute significantly to internal operations, overall efficiency, and continued growth.
As Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing statutory year-end accounts and corporation tax returns.
- Overseeing, training, and assisting junior team members.
- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including bookkeeping and VAT returns.
- Developing and maintaining proactive working relationships with clients.
- Creating and delivering strategic board packs and management reports.
- Assisting management with the daily operation of the firm.
- Building client proposals and marketing additional services to current and potential clients.
We're looking for a Senior Accountant with:
- Demonstratable experience within a practice environment - This is a must.
- Wither working towards, or have achieved ACA/ACCA status.
- Comfortability managing clients and working autonomously.
