Rehabilitation Support Companion

We are looking for a Rehabilitation Support Companion for our 24-year-old client with Acquired Brain Injury. He was involved in an incident when he was 12 years of age and although he is very independent in most areas, he requires support to keep him focussed on some aspects of daily living.

What you'll do as Rehabilitation Support Companion?

Your duties will include supporting our client to access the community and engage in social and leisure activities, following therapy programs, maintaining and completing household duties, budgeting skills and attending appointments.

You will assist our young client to access the community and engage in activities of interest to him. A sense of humour would be essential and someone who is able to go on long walks. Our client has almost completed all the Wainwright walks and is ready for more challenging hikes. He also doesn't mind the slower pace of life and enjoys the occasional cuppa and cake.

We're looking for a Rehabilitation Support Companion with:

  • Previous experience of working in a support worker role.
  • Driving licence and car owner is essential.
  • Trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g. completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course)

This is a part-time role, working 16 hours per week over days/afternoons/some weekends.
