Role Overview

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for tendering projects, specifically for data centres. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in ground works and frames, and ideally, a good understanding of the complexities involved in data centre services. This role requires an individual who can work independently, accurately build prices based on client components, and seamlessly integrate into our existing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for groundwork and frames projects, with a focus on data centres.
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work.
  • Understand and apply the intricacies of formwork in estimation processes.
  • Use Causeway software for estimating purposes.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure comprehensive and competitive tenders.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced members of the estimating team as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience as an estimator in groundwork and frames.
  • Specific experience in data centres is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with Causeway software.
  • Strong understanding of formwork.
  • Ability to build prices based on client components, not just market rates.
  • Previous experience working with competitors in the same field.
  • Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
  • Preferably in their mid to late 30s to bring a youthful dynamic to the team.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary up to £120,000 per annum inclusive of package.
  • Company car (electric car scheme) or car allowance.
  • Pension scheme (5%).
  • 25 days holiday.
  • Healthcare options.
  • Flexible working arrangements, though preference is for 5 days in the office.
  • Supportive team environment with opportunities for career progression.

Working Hours

  • Typically 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Flexibility to work longer hours as needed, though overtime is not compensated.

Application Process

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are the ideal candidate for this role.
