Job Description:
As a 2nd Line NOC Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our clients' networks. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure, providing second-line support to resolve complex technical issues, and working closely with other team members to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve 2nd line technical issues, escalating to 3rd line support when necessary.
- Conduct regular system and network health checks.
- Collaborate with the 1st line support team to provide efficient and effective resolutions.
- Perform network upgrades and maintenance activities as required.
- Document technical issues and resolutions accurately and comprehensively.
- Provide remote and on-site support to clients as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of network policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a 2nd Line NOC Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network and server infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus.
