About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher with a specialism in Engineering and Resistant Materials to join our dynamic team on a temporary, long-term supply basis. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students in Peterlee, fostering their creativity and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Design and Technology, with a focus on Engineering and Resistant Materials.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism in Engineering and Resistant Materials.
- Proven experience in teaching Design and Technology at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
