Learning and Development Team Administrator

Brief description of the department

Human Resources contribute to the Firm at both strategic and operational levels in the areas of Resourcing, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits and Organisational Development. Additionally, ad-hoc HR client work is provided to existing and new clients.

Human Resources recommend HR management policies and procedures for the effective management and development of employees. The nature of the function is a professional advisory role to Engagement Partners, People Operations Partners, managers and employees and has a key role in leading on the implementation and operation of agreed HR policies and procedures.

The administrative aspects of the department relate to handling and storing employee data and data collation for organisational monitoring and decision-making purposes.

Purpose of the role

To provide day-to-day HR administrative services to the Learning and Development team. You will be working as a part of a large and experienced team, so lots of opportunity to learn, expand your knowledge and work on new and exciting things!

Responsibilities

  • Review processes and make recommendations to HR team to streamline working practices.
  • Check HR invoices prior to HR Manager/HR Partner approval and liaise with suppliers on queries
  • Provide typing and administrative support to the Training Manager in relation to course preparation
  • Ensure course dates are in Training teams diary
  • Provide assistance to other course presenters in relation to production of course materials, notes, handouts, if required
  • Ensure course presenters are booked and dates are in diaries
  • Chase presenters for course materials well in advance of courses
  • Ensure distribution of course materials in advance of courses, where required
  • Ensure all course materials, equipment are at the relevant course location

Skills and Experience

  • An interest in Training and an enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to handle a heavy workload with minimal supervision.
  • Carrying out tasks with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to intermediate level, to produce letters, spreadsheets, and organisation charts.
