Our client based in Wellingborough is looking for an E-Commerce Commercial Manager.

JOB TITLE: E-CommerceCommercial Manager

REPORT TO: General Manager

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

This is a challenging, varied cross functional business opportunity to join this ever-growing business in the role of: E-Commerce Commercial Manager.

You will be a professional candidate that is driven, self-motivated, and has a positive 'can-do' attitude. Previous experience working in an E-Commerce Commercial environment is essential with the ability to develop strong relationships and assist in the running of the business operation.

You will be involved in all Companies activities including:

Business Development/Sales

Purchasing

Digital

Internal Sales Process

Marketing

Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development/Sales:

  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets and new clients
  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of clients to ensure they do not turn to competition
  • Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
  • Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Stay on top of customer accounts, making sure they receive services that are within their budget and meet their needs
  • Pricing/generating quotes for new sales
  • Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them
  • Possessing a strong understanding of the company's products, the competition in the industry and positioning
  • Develop sales strategies alongside the General Manger to deliver on business growth
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics

Purchasing:

  • Identifying any products/services to be purchased
  • Verifying the key suppliers for each procurement
  • Monitoring and forecasting inventory, determining purchasing needs and identify costs
  • Establishing quality control and ensuring that bought stock meets company standards
  • Managing procurement budget and preparing cost estimates
  • Compiling and maintaining purchase records, supplier databases and procurement contracts

Internal Sales Process:

  • Management of enquiries.
  • Responding to customer's enquiries via telephone/email
  • Quotes to be created and recorded properly and sent out to clients.
  • Keeping the ACT database up to date with accurate information
  • Proactively following up on quotes sent to customers
  • Complete all necessary paperwork

Website:

  • Ensuring the website is accurately displaying product information
  • Create, upload and update product listings if required
  • Ensuring product listings are fully optimised to increase sales.
  • Anticipating stock demands based on current and future business functions.
  • Other ad-hoc ecommerce duties identified for the smooth running of the operation

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION:

  • 5 years + proven experience in commercial management/business development/sales - (product rather than service)
  • Proven experience in providing solutions based on customer needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organisational levels
  • Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
  • IT Literate with strong digital skills
  • Quick to learn new software and utilise within job role
  • Commercially aware
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise
  • Educated to the Graduate standard
  • Driven and motivated with the ability to use own initiative and meet targets
  • Confident communicator with the ability to interact on all levels
  • Must live within 30-45 minutes of office location

HOURS OF WORK: 8.30 - 5.00pm Monday - Friday, 30 minutes for lunch

SALARY: 40,000 - 50,000

HOLIDAY: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
