My client are an well known institution in the local region, having been around for generations providing their customers with top quality products that have satisfied their taste buds for years.

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be working as part of a robust maintenance team, focused on electrical & technical support of the equipment across site.

Description

As the Maintenance Engineer you will provide support to the shift engineering team, working on mechanical & electrical equipment on both reactive & preventative maintenance, as well as:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for planned & preventative maintenance across the site, maintaining and improving the efficiency of all production machinery.
  • Providing breakdown diagnostics, resolving any issues, and escalating correctly.
  • Fault finding and rectification on a variety of machinery and systems. Ensuring work is carried out accurately & safely and documented correctly.
  • Working with machinery such as mixers, ovens, moulders, conveyor systems, fast flow machines, check weighers, metal check and X-ray machines.
  • Playing an active role in the training and development of the engineering team, through sharing best practice and mentoring of apprentices.

4 on 4 off - 12 Hour Shifts - 2 Days 2 Nights

Profile

You will be a multi-skilled engineer/technician, ideally from an FMCG manufacturing background, as well as:

  • Recognised Engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled)
  • Electrical systems & installation experience
  • CMMS & SAP experience is required
  • Strong understanding of Maintenance systems - Lean principles are desirable
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety
  • PLC fault-finding experience is desirable

Job Offer

£46,500-£47,500 (Inclusive of Shift Allowance)
