Job Description:
Seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Engineer to join our team in London. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in Python, Azure, Terraform, DevOps, and React. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mentoring, a desire to grow into a management role, and the technical acumen to drive our projects to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the development and deployment of innovative software solutions using Python, Azure, Terraform, and React.
- Implement and manage DevOps practices to ensure seamless integration and delivery of projects.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement scalable and secure applications.
- Play a pivotal role in strategic planning, project management, and decision-making processes.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in coding standards, testing, and automation.
- Prepare and present technical solutions and reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Principal Engineer or similar senior engineering role.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Python, Azure, Terraform, DevOps practices, and React.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to move into a management position.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
