Robert Half are pleased to be working with this niche engineering firm in Doncaster in the recruitment of a interim Company Accountant / Bookkeeper. This role is a stand alone position reporting into a parent company elsewhere in the UK and as such it is important you have the confidence to be a self starter and complete a small companies accounts with no onsite support.
Requirements as follows
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process invoices and payments in a timely manner
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Assist with payroll processing and tax filings
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Monitor and analyse financial data to identify discrepancies or trends
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Processing and setting up for payment authorisation of all incoming supplier invoices.
- Tracking and checking of all incoming customer invoices.
- Checking of automatic posting to Xero of invoices from our CRM system
- Processing of all monthly payroll
- Processing and submitting all VAT payments
- Assist with preparing end of year accounts for main accountant
- Preparing quarterly management information and P&L for review.
You will be available to start with little notice and ideally have previous experience on the Xero accounting package.
The role is likely to run into the New Year so we are looking for someone happy to take on an interim role for around 6 months.
