Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer- Birmingham

My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Drainage, Civil and Flood Risk Engineering, is searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join an established team based in Birmingham.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in civil engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and residential drainage or sewerage designs using Microdrainage.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing designs using Civils 3D.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers to work on varied Residential, Industrial and Commercial Development Projects including schools, hospitals and Holiday Parks for Private Sector Clients, Housing Developers and Local Authorities. You will have the opportunity to mentor team members, manage projects and work flexibly.

Applicants will also be supported to complete the following;

  • Flood risk assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3.
  • Detailed drainage and sewerage design using AutoCAD, Civils 3D and Microdrainage for residential and student tower blocks, holiday parks, schools and industrial sites.
  • Drainage area planning.
  • Earthworks analysis.
  • Project Management and Client meetings.
