Salary is £26,000 - £27,000 dependent on experience

Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Tate Recruitment are supporting a client in Hemel Hempstead with the recruitment of a Liaison Clerk.

This vital role serves as the bridge between the medical and administrative functions of the organisation and is the main point of contact for patients. The Liaison Clerk works closely with colleagues to provide a

first-class service to all patients and visitors, ensuring their experience is welcoming, informative and seamless.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient and Visitor Interaction:

  • Welcome incoming patients and visitors.
  • Register new patients and ensure their questionnaires are completed correctly upon arrival.
  • Complete the visitor book and manage guest passes.

Communication:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls and manage the email inbox.
  • Respond to general inquiries and book patient appointments.
  • Liaise with medical staff to obtain answers to specific patient queries.

Administrative Duties:

  • Send out new patient packs in advance of their first appointment, including confirmation of appointment time and date.
  • Generate estimates detailing recommendations and ensure all estimates are sent out to patients with relevant information.
  • Discuss and explain treatment options and manage patient expectations.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under deadline pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Very good organisational and customer service skills.
  • Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in matters pertaining to highly sensitive subjects.

About You: You should be a welcoming and calm individual who can explain investigation and treatment recommendations with clarity and compassion, with the ability to remain composed under pressure and possess a friendly demeanour that puts patients at ease. You must have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, to ensure that administrative tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
