Job Purpose
- Manage your own client portfolio, monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management
- Work closely with Partners and Directors to ensure budgets, deadlines and clients' expectations are met
- Review statutory year-end accounts
- Monitor junior staff by reviewing work and providing on-the-job training
- Identify and resolve account issues
- Attend accounts planning and closing accounts meetings
- Provide support in the recruitment of new staff
- Scope expansion opportunities to help steer business development
- Use IT software including IRIS, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
- Work closely across departments to ensure clients are benefiting from an all-encompassing service
- Oversee ad hoc client projects, including cashflow forecasts valuations and advice on acquisitions
- Keep up-to-date on CPD requirements and regulation changes
- Set an example as a hands-on and supportive Manager

The Successful Candidate
- ACA or ACCA qualified, part qualified or studying
- Qualified by relevant experience also considered
- Proven track record of managing a portfolio within UK practice
- Excellent knowledge of accounting software including Excel
- Solid project management and multitasking skills
- First-class communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive outlook and can-do attitude towards problem-solving
- Highly organised and able to manage own workload effectively
- Confident working alongside Senior Managers
- Motivated and able to inspire others
- Keen to progress within the firm and learn from the team
