A highly reputable and well known Aerospace company are actively looking for a Buyer. Applicants will need previous procurement or supply chain experience, ideally within a aerospace or engineering organisation.
The Buyer will join a supportive team of Buyers and Senior Buyers reporting into a Procurement Manager. In this dynamic role the Buyer will manage suppliers, to ensure goods/services are available to meet demand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Raising and placing purchase orders
- Supplier management
- Expediting
- Managing supplier relationships and looking at ways to improve performance
- Internal stakeholder management and relationship building - Production, Quality, Distribution, Engineering etc.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience as a Buyer, or in a broader procurement, purchasing or supply chain role
- IT literate - MS Packages, an MRP or ERP system
- Motivated, self-starter
- Team player
- Experience within an aerospace setting would be advantageous
