Business Manager

Location: Near Hitchin (2-5 days per week) with hybrid working; occasional days in London

About the Role:

My client is seeking a dynamic Business Manager to join their small, dedicated team. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations. Your responsibilities will span financial administration, contracts management, and operational support. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Administration (30%)

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable using Xero.
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices and reconciliation of income.
  • Provide monthly financial reports and support annual budget preparation.

Contracts Management (30%)

  • Monitor and report on contract activities.
  • Assist in creating proposals and tender applications.
  • Maintain clear records and foster stakeholder relationships.

Operational Support (40%)

  • Support recruitment and HR processes.
  • Manage IT and equipment needs.
  • Oversee administrative systems and ensure compliance.

About You:

  • Experienced in office administration and financial management.
  • Proficient in MS Office and accounting software (e.g., Xero).
  • Able to work collaboratively in a small team.

Desirable

  • Relevant degree/qualification in social sciences, finance management, or business administration.
