Project Manager

Randstad C&P are currently recruiting a Project Manager to work on an education scheme in the Oxford area. The opportunity is working for a Tier One contractor with an illustrious background delivering high-quality, complex projects. The role promises progression, a strong salary and package, and a good working environment.

Successful applicants must have worked on an education scheme, ideally coming from a Tier One background, though this is desired. Equally, candidates must have managed projects of circa £15m. Experience managing external packages such as cladding and fireproofing is also desired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement quality control processes and inspections.
  • Address any quality issues promptly.
  • Manage the project budget and financial resources efficiently.
  • Monitor project expenses and implement cost control measures as needed.
  • Approve invoices and payments in accordance with the project budget.
  • Ensure that construction activities meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to avoid delays.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Obtain the necessary permits and approvals for the project.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and environmental requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent educational qualifications (HNC, NVQ etc.)
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Asta, Microsoft Project) and some preconstruction experience (desired)
  • Excellent problem-solving and expeditious decision-making skills..
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices to be implemented on site.
