Our client, the UK's largest independent industrial refrigeration engineering company, is currently recruiting for a Technical Manager to join their experienced technical team. If you have a strong engineering background and a good understanding of industrial refrigeration system design, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
The Technical Manager will work closely with the Technical Director to ensure technical compliance on industrial contracts, manage design standards, and drive improvement in design and technical procedures. As a key member of their team, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving design documentation, providing technical guidance to design staff, and ensuring efficient and effective design quality assurance.
Here's what you can expect in this role:
Be an integral part of the Technical Management Team, participating actively in discussions and decision-making processes.
Provide technical knowledge and support, including sales and commissioning assistance.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve technical issues during contracts and post-contract.
Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and reduce costs.
Explore new design and system development opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
An engineering qualification (minimum HND, degree preferred).
Industry experience in an industrial refrigeration technical/design role.
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
A proactive approach and the ability to take initiative.
A full clean UK driver's licence.
This role can be based from any of our client's office/branch locations, with some travel to Glasgow and an initial training period in Glasgow.
