Reed Engineering are currently working with an established Aerospace company who specialise in the test, service & repair, and overhaul of a diverse range of aircraft equipment.
Due to increased workload, they are looking for an experienced Soldering technician to join their lighting department on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate is not expected to come from the aviation industry however will possess experience within soldering to a high level (ideally IPC standards, however this is not essential) and will be crossed trained within the companies Interiors, Communications & Navigation Division and their Flight Power & Electro-Mechanics, Galley Accessory and Rail Support Divisions.
Experience/ Transferrable Skills Required:
The candidate must be able to solder at a high level, and have experience of surface mount soldering. Some of the units repaired within
the division are as follows:
- Avionic Equipment.
- Multi-Functional Touch Panels & Switch Boxes.
- In-Flight Entertainment accessories.
- Navigational Components & Flight Deck Instrumentation.
- Interior fluorescent & LED Lighting.
- Crew Headsets and Cabin Handsets.
- Automated External Defibrillators.
- Air Data Computers.
Job Information:
- Starting salary of £22,500 - £26,000 subject to previous experience and industry relevance.
