Job Title: HR Manager
Location: Bourne, Lincolnshire with hybrid working
Salary: £45,000-£50,000
Role Overview:
Our client, a market leading fresh produce business based local to Bourne, is seeking a knowledgeable, adaptable, and energetic HR Manager to join their team.
As HR Manager and part of the senior leadership team, you will be the 'go-to for all day-to-day HR as well as play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing HR processes and policies. You will also have the opportunity to embed company and cultural values and initiatives with a medium-long term view to implement an overall HR strategy.
This role requires a proactive and influential approach to ensure that our employees are engaged, motivated, and equipped to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and values.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to drive a positive culture and promote employee engagement.
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
HR Processes and Policies:
- Design, implement, and continuously improve HR processes, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee recruitment and selection processes, ensuring the acquisition of top talent.
- Manage performance management systems, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and create a positive working environment.
Talent Development and Retention:
- Develop and implement effective talent management strategies, including succession planning, training, and development programs.
- Identify skills gaps and implement strategies to upskill the workforce.
Employee Relations:
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance and support to managers and employees on a range of HR issues.
- Handle complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance improvement plans.
- Promote effective communication channels to foster positive employee relations.
HR Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
- Oversee HR records and data management, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Keep abreast of changes in employment law and recommend appropriate policy updates.
Qualifications and Experience:
- CIPD qualification desirable but not essential
- Experience within food manufacturing/FMCG or similar is essential.
- You will be an energetic and ambitious individual.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Experience in driving cultural change initiatives and promoting a positive work culture.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
