Contract: Permanent

IStructE is a charity and the professional body for structural engineers. We have a global membership who have designed many of the world's iconic structures as well as many of the buildings and bridges we take almost for granted in our daily lives.

Creating safer structures for the benefit of the public is at the heart of our remit and this includes environmental sustainability with structural engineers and the Institution at the heart of the impact construction has on natural resources and climate change.

Many of our members work to support the world's most vulnerable communities, especially those living in places prone to natural hazards such as earthquakes and extreme flooding.

The Role:

The Finance Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day tasks in our busy finance department; for example, ensuring that the Institution has our bookkeeping in order for budgets and taxes, preparing balance sheets, entering data into the system and updating financial records.

To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:

- Knowledge and understanding of credit control procedures.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to check detailed information, able to critique own work and the work of others.
- Experience using a CRM/Database.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

Experience using Microsoft Great Plains and Dynamics CRM would be advantageous.

We are based on the edge of the city, our office is bright, modern and open plan. We are an inclusive and friendly workforce. We are presently operating a working model of office based and remote working and envisage operating a longer-term hybrid working model.
